Update: The Pursuits of a Foodie - Zia Gourmet Pizza

So this post is coming late, but nonetheless here it is. A few weeks ago Hector and I finally got to venture out to Zia Gourmet Pizza on Adams Avenue. We had been eying it for several months and since it was a part of our "Adams Avenue Challenge" we knew we had to try it out. So here is our experience through pictures.

The outside of Zia Pizza. No a/c inside so we sat on the patio (which really is just the sidewalk).

The happy, hungry couple

The outside street view of Zia Pizza. It's really close to Lestat's.

We ordered the small garden salad to split and it was enormous! It came with artichokes, tomatoes, arugula, mixed greens, caramelized pears and a house made pear dressing. It was yummy and cheap! I think it was $5.50

mmm mmm mmm

And because we were soooo anxious to taste the pizza I forgot to take pictures until after we had almost finished it all. So here you see the "Potato Pizza" on the left and the last slice of the "New Yorker" on the right.

The New Yorker came with whole wheat crust, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and really thick strips of spicy turkey pastrami (which was soooo delicious).

Now the Potato Pizza came with the same whole wheat crust, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, green onions and delicious roasted potato chunks. The combination of the New Yorker and the Potato pizza was absolutely divine. We split the Medium which was $15.50 and we had 4 slices left over. For gourmet pizza with fresh ingredients made when you order - $15.50 was a GREAT price.

Yummy in my tummy. With over 100 reviews on Yelp giving it a 4.75 star rating out of 5 stars we knew we were going to enjoy the food. But really it blew our taste buds away and we definitely will be going back for more.
