The Whoopie is Complete

I just finished my Whoopie Pies!! And although baking without a/c when its 90 degrees outside isn't the smartest thing to do, they still tasted great.

Here's what you need:
1 box of cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
2-3 tbsp of water
Frosting of your choice - store bought saves time, homemade tastes better unless its rainbow chip

Here's what you do:
Take the cake mix, the oil and the eggs and mix them well. Add 1 tbsp of water and stir. Keeping adding an additional tbsp of water until you get a good batter consistency. You don't want too much water or they will come out more cake-like instead of cookie-like and you want a denser cookie batter here.

Drop on a cookie sheet in small spoonfuls. Remember you will use 2 cookies per whoopie pie so making them large isn't necessary.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool once they are done.

For the frosting grab a plastic bag (unless you have legit frosting bags and tips) and pour in half of the container of frosting. About 1/2 cup if you made it from scratch. Then cut the corner tip off of the the bag and squeeze a good size dollop onto half of the cookies. Then top with the other half of the cookies....

and wallah!!! you have a whoopie pie :)

Here is my experience through pictures...

This is my yummy face. Definitely passes on the taste test.

**Warning**
Consumption of too many sweets will make you fat.
(apparently being pregnant does as well... who knew?)

  2. They taste even better once they have cooled in the fridge for about an hour or 2 and the frosting is more set. The heat made it sort of melty. Seriously this little guys are sooo cute you should open up a store called Whoopie :) haha miss you girl
